Their pSSD has won several accounts in the past couple of months, and is doing fine. What Eli said about 2012 was that that was when SSDs would take off in the mass market, and account for about 15% of NAND production. For now, SSDs are a very small, niche market, both w/r/t NAND capacity and w/r/t HD market share. Although I admit I was disappointed that it has been pushed back to 2012, one of the important reasons why it has been is the strength in NAND pricing, so in hindsight, it is actually good for the sector. They don't have to push to get to 2x as quickly as they would have had to if pricing remained as vicious in '09 as it was in '08. Now they can make some money and get a good return on their investment. You are and have been way way too hung up on SSDs. They are still a niche market in NAND. The mobile market is where the real growth and money is right now, and that is Sandisk's current focus and strength. You sound like a Republican when you repeat ad nauseum this stuff about their IP and the "endurance" of x3 and x4. Guess what, repeating something over and over again doesn't make it true. So what if x4 can't be used in SSDs (if that does indeed turn out to be the case)? It can be used in plenty of applications. SMOD is already using MLC in enterprise SSDs. I don't even care if Sandisk never gets into enterprise SSDs (if that turns out to be the case). I care about them making good money, and the stock price will in the ripeness of time follow. If you want to trade the stock every day, trade away. I too sell shares and buy them back at times (although, unhappily, I can't say I've sold any since the end of Dec). But you shouldn't go spouting off about things that you don't know anything about. Well, fine, you can. But you should know that you just make yourself look silly. Then again, at least you aren't doing on TV, where I see people saying idiotic things about Sandisk (among other things) all the time.
