Brumar, just because the federal government ...

- Bailed out GM
- Gave significant ownership to the unions
- Replaced key executives
- Strongarmed executive compensation
- Controlled the bankruptcy process, and
- Aimed to dictate what types of cars they should build

... doesn't mean they are running GM. ;-)

GM is majority owned by the US Treasury Department.

Obama's auto task force hired Ed Whitacre to run GM for them:


Majority owned until they do their IPO. In the meantime, is Obama on GM's board? How about Geithner? How about Summers? Who exactly from the feds is on the BOD?
