it's almost impossible to get fired from the federal gov., esp for not doing your job

If the real job involved [for example] making meals for actual workers, instead of jetting around the world to stay in top hotels to attend environmental jamborees, traveling in limousine convoys, then there would be a big energy saving and CO2 emissions reduction: <the energy would simply shift from government to commerce, still no energy savings. >

All jobs do not use the same amount of energy or emit the same amount of CO2.

If Al Gore got a job coding cyberspace instead of roaring around in the stratosphere while heating his enormous house then his hot air emissions would dramatically decline.

Of course I am joking and do not in the slightest think that Obama means that he will cut emissions in this way. He means he [the taxpayer and citizens] will fund the invention of amazing new technology which will enable even more government spivs to be employed while using less energy and emitting less CO2.
