I did some hands on research yesterday. I went to the Walmart in Shelton, CT and poked around. It was the first time I saw the FryGuy. Very impressive unit. The guy operating the counter wasn't working with a full deck, but was quickly able to fry'em up. I asked him as many questions as I could get away with. But the only helpful bit of news was that they "SELL OUT OF PRODUCT ON THE WEEKENDS." I noticed that they keep the food sitting on the counter-top. I ordered the chicken nuggets at approx 3 PM. I don't think it is a good idea that they leave the chicken, fries and cheese fries sitting on the counter, do you? Whatever, the guy told me that they use vegetable oil in the machine (good for health nuts) and each morning the oil is changed after cooling all night long. The guy that served me hadn't cleaned it before, so he couldn't tell me if it was easy to clean. Oh well. I could see that it fit easily on the counter top, but didn't care for the color sticker of a Sargeant with a goofy smile on his face. When I think of tasty, fried foods I don't think of a Sargeant. I don't undestand the marketing... but then again I guess it doesn't matter because I asked the store manager if they had a Sgt Fry Guy in the food mart and he didn't know what I was talking about. I also asked the server, but he didn't know either. Why not "TASTY FRY"? or "JUICY FRY"? or "YUMMY FRY"? Whatever. I was charged $2 for the small portion of chicken nuggets, but they didn't have any HONEY! Can you imagine? I had to settle for sweet'n'sour sauce to go with it. The nuggets were decent, not great. Very HOT initially. Possibly McDonald's Coffee-type hot. A bit/bunch of oil gathered at the bottom of my paper basket. Not pretty. All in all, a learning experience. Perhaps next time I'll try the fries or cheese fries and I'll have to find out what is the most popular. Good fortune to us all! Tim West
