Innocent? Is that what God said they were? Among other things, ritual child sacrifice, child prostitution and bestiality were integral to Baal worship which brought God's judgment upon the inhabitants of Peor. Baalam advised those who wished to destroy Israel to use intermarriage with their women to introduce Baal worship to the Israelites. This happened and God also judged his own people for it. God is allowed to judge His own human creations, right? Do we really think He would judge them and not us?

It is immoral for Humans to take innocent life without any justification (as is the case in abortion). It is not immoral for the state to judge murderers or for God to judge human beings for their actions. It is not immoral for the giver of life to take it. Moses was acting on orders from God and carrying out a judicial sentence pronounced by the creator and judge of the universe. You may doubt that Moses was authorized to act as God's agent but the pillar of fire that followed the Israelites and the miracles that God did through Moses proved that he was.

I doubt that you will come up with more than a one line cheap shot response?
