with various forms of corruption leading the way. Which is why I had no direct comeback on the pocket lining :O) but really the earmarks and corporate contributions to political parties smells like sanctioned corruption to the outsider ...

Sure have a long way to go ... but I would venture the that the trend is positive.. but that comes down to the West holding them up to the same 'epiphany' that they have had.. which certainly did not happen overnight... would be nice if China could flip a switch... but that cannot happen.. However it will happen since otherwise someone(s) in charge will ultimately lose their life otherwise..

The Chinese have not yet threatened to bring down the world economy by wanton greed ... so they get some slack from me .. as long as they keep steering in the right general direction.. :O)

The article is correct in viewing the greatest threat to China's growth as internal issues, with various forms of corruption leading the way Certainly... but comparisons (actually contrast) to the US were irrelevant is I guess my main point... Hell they even squeezed in some of Mq's Victorian Values into the mix.. Itemizing China's problems would have sufficed.. :O)
