Obama was forced out of his lethargy and now is acting. Shell shocked by his victory, it took a while to sink in and act decisively.
It needed the naked man to win in the senate seat for him to act.

Got Volcker plan. Push now for energy policy, promised to take a tougher line with Beijing over trade.

Before he was intimidated by the white Anglos. Now is: "to the hell with it. Lets act."

If those actions raises his approval, he will be emboldened. He may end up surprising everyone.
