I did not suggest that you are/were short ANCR. I am simply pointing out the correlations in the types of posts and the subsequent events which have occurred in stocks like AMTX and ANCR. What is your point re: the ambulence chaser saying soemone is going to jail? Do you think he's going to say "we've got a weak case" or "it's going bad"? Similarly, do you expect Ancor to say " we're guilty and we're trying to settle out of court"?

You have a tendency to whine from 30,000 feet. The fact is that you have had minimal information on AMTX to make a prudent investment decision ( long or short ) and even less on ANCR. You and others pointed out the obvious in the low cash level on AMTX's balance sheet. Where you surprised that AMTX merged with someone like WSTL? Were you surprised about the BC TEL contract, the AWRE and Alcatel licensing agreements, etc, etc..

Would it surprise you if you later found out the new Ancor CEO and CFO are somewhat more experienced and forward thinking than their predecessors and that just maybe Ancor is addressing the capital requirements of the business and there are reasons why employees/insiders are bullish about the future of FC and ANCR? Would it surprise you to also learn that employees are very concerned about a premature takeover of ANCR given its low market valuation? IF we discover several weeks/months from now that there has been more insider buying take place, should we all assume that these stupid insiders know nothing about their OEM prospects are just "gambling/speculating on the future of the Company based on "deteriorating fundamentals"? Would it surprise this thread if Ancor somehow miraculously came up with $10-20 million cash infusion within the next 3 months that was actually good for shareholders, ie minimal short term dilutive impact, no conversion in near term like Steve O Hara's Reg S and Reg D??? Do you think a $20 million cash infusion would be sufficient to gain approval for NMS listing?

Whether or not he intended to do so, what Ken Hendrickson did last week was to stop people like you, me or others on MF/SI from "expecting to hear some good news out of the Ancor camp". What transpires over the ensuing months ahead is a totally different issue. IF you really think that traders can time this thing exactly and wait until after Ancor closes a significant OEM contract and expect to pay single digits, you and others are dreaming. The market makers will have a field day manipulating the stock back up easily and without warning.

PS- while you are doing "research", suggest you call up Hucom and ask them why they now have 20- 25 people working on Fibre Channel versus only 2 people a year ago. Or perhaps call up one of your contacts at ASND and ask their people who deal with NTT what their prognosis of Fibre Channel is for Japan in 1998 and beyond.
