Another blissfully ignorant post...let me jog your memory...

When Bush took over from Clinton, he inherited a $230 billion budget surplus and a projected CBO 10-year surplus estimate of $5.6 trillion. By the time Bush left office, he had erased the surplus and had added another 5T of real debt on top of that (we are now at negative 10.7T), plus he left Obama a $1.3 trillion real deficit for 2009, (not to mention a projected 10 year deficit of $8 trillion more with little to no way to fix it).

It's all about ideology ...
