Right, thats why Yucca Mtn was picked - its as close to the middle of nowhere as you can get in the lower 48. Hardly any people anywhere nearby. Clearly a site far away from people is desirable. AK would be a potential site I guess but its "our serengeti" according to some folks.

Unfortunately they all ignore the waste problem. Yucca is a "disaster of a place to put waste". Shall we say..... massive ground water problems!
