What makes you so sure
1. The problem is with the chipset (3 other motherboards might prove you wrong)
2. The problem is not with the software
3. VIA can't fix the chipset, IF it is the problem

Meanwhile the statement "AGP is for Graphics" is not true.

"AGP is useful ONLY for high resolution, 3D rendering (NOT video playback) on graphics boards with insufficient video memory" is true.

As a practical matter, its for games only and none of these games have been written yet, and a good 3D accelerator will still make AGP a useless feature.
