I'm perfectly happy to count President Ford!

(As a matter of fact, I specifically listed his administrations deficit numbers in with all the others!)

He also like President Carter produced only a very tiny deficit (despite the bad economic times he served in, just as Carter had a very difficult economic environment to serve in).

I believe (if memory serves) that Carter had an ever-so-slightly-better result on the deficit then Ford, but my memory could be wrong about that point and, IN ANY EVENT... *both* Ford and Carter had absolutely STERLING results when compared to the Tsunami of federal debt and borrowing that precipitated under Reagan, Bush, and Bush II.
