Much of what you say makes sense to me. I think a big part of it is from an early age the older boomers, especially the educated ones, had a much easier time than everybody else before or since IMHO. Recent events the past decade have shaken their foundation to the core. I identify most with folks born late 50's to early 70's. Always came behind that demographic wave that changed the world. And now there is a new demographic wave behind me more diverse of course but not as different from me as I would have once thought only five years ago as they become young adults, parents, business owners and homeowners.. A record number of Gen Y turning 30 every year entering starter and move up home market in affordable sunbelt cities and their spending power will really be felt at the end of this decade as they will be 23-40.
