2/12/10 Update Investors got another roller-coaster ride, but the market eventually found a way to wind up on the uphill track for the week. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -3.77% YTD (vs. down -5.64% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed the week up 2.99% YTD (vs. up .28% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median closed up 4.04% YTD (vs. up 1.38% YTD a week ago). GEORGIA's portfolio (up 23.29% YTD) jumped up to first place, with WYD's portfolio (up 21.86% YTD) and DEWDIL's portfolio (up 21.25% YTD) in the No.2 & No. 3 slots. At Friday's close, 23 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 20 of the 32 were beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the week (foreign stock prices are not converted to US$ in these two tables).
