I didn't intend that distinction. Her SS is from her disability. She was in her forties when that income stream began. She's in her mid sixties now.

Also, if her assets (as a single person) are less than around $15,000 or so she can get, I think, all her prescription drugs thru Medicare.</i.

She said her meds came from Medicaid, I'm pretty sure. I wasn't paying close attention to all of the details so I could be mistaken about that.

The judge sits right across a table in a small room, up close and personal, looking right into the eyes of the person applying. That part surprised me.
