What I wonder, often, is how many people end up paying money they shouldn't, because they pay the bills the insurance company denied, when it should not have denied it. It's not like we can get good data on this. The insurance companies sure as hell aren't going to release that information. Over the years we've found hundreds of mistakes, and with time, and patience (and the fact that out policies) I can always get it covered in the end. But I imagine many people just give up. It can take a long time to fix these errors, and many of the droids who work the phone lines are happy to say anything, no matter how incorrect, to move you along.
