*AV*--StevieBoi--we made the big time!!! I was just looking at the SI home page and guess what I saw??? Look for yourself.

techstocks.com

SI has discovered DY at 23 3/4. Too bad this was discovered by others of us at much lower prices. Click onto the write up. It looks real nice and may draw a great deal of attention to the stock over the next few weeks. Are you loading up on this again at these prices???

Did somebody mention UTEK? Andrew, can you comment on this?

I read in the local paper how a consortum led by Intel (no surprise) is attempting to gain control of extreme ultraviolet lithography technology developed by the Energy Dept.

the consortum plans to sell the technology to the largest stepper manufacturers, who happen also to be foriegn. Nikon and ASM are at the top of the list. Ultratech is pitching a fit about this plan.

My question is, should the Government decide it's in the best interests of the large chip makers like Intel and AMD to give the consortum control, and they do give it over to ASM or Nike, what effect would this have on UTEK in the long run--in that they might be shut out of the next technological leap in steppers.

Andrew,
What is your take of the bludgeoning of the techs last week. Do you think that such a dramatic beating is warranted? IMHO, one is not but I would like an industry insiders perspective. I margined AMAT @ 46 3/8 thinking I was getting a bargain. Needless to say, I've been hemmoraging money ever since. Recently I margined more @ 32 and 36. What are your thoughts to where AMAT will be say February '98? I know this industry is notoriously difficult to predict and the Asian panic only aggrandizes this problem. Again IMO, I believe AMAT is a $45+ stock right now and hope it will see the 60's by Feb. TIA for any thoughts.
