Fine. No competition. No profit. That's what I want. Fin

As I have already posted, I am indifferent to profit in whatever system we come up with. I'm just bothered by the disproportionate amount of attention and inapt attention it's getting. It's an example of the sloppy thinking that makes it so difficult to solve problems like this.

As for competition, there are pros and cons. Competitive and non-competitive models are so utterly different. It would take more sophisticated modeling than I can manage to lay out and weigh both sides. However I am unable to conceive of a model without competition that would likely be viable long term. Or, should it turn out to be a mistake, any way to undo it once it's been done. As difficult as the competitive model would be to fix and make really competitive, it would seem to offer at least potential feasibility.
