MDR, another tax question. What strategy minimizes tax rates for the Cayman investors? At the very least I think we can assume that they will want to avoid taxes in 1997 and so will not convert until 1998, but may (and probably are) short to lock in profits.

"Does anyone have some ways of getting at the potential to move Zitel on the tax-loss selling issue? It might be what Cayman's are waiting for, or possibly the institutions exiting their holdings."

I don't believe that many institutions are motivated by tax-loss selling, as wise a strategy as that may be. I believe a far more critical issue for them is how their portfolio looks at the end of each quarter: performance and holdings. By holdings I mean that there may be some institutions who would prefer not to have Zitel on their books now because it's been something of an embarrassment. Whether those so tempted have already sold is anyone's guess.

As for the Cayman's, I'm not sure they have a loss.
