<<Why would someone care to alienate and stir up a thread when a few careful warnings would be sufficient.>> Wow! I have to prepare for a writing job starting on Wed, and I've really got to get off SI and commence a ton of researh, but Mr. Loucks your post blew me away! You eloquently voiced a lot of things I've felt, and ranted to friends about over the phone, for a long time. And it will probably take me pages to commend you on how succintly you did it! <<I think a true "white knight">> Well we apparantly have a Saint or victim of megalomania here who is convinced people lost _millions_ more in Bre-x because he went silent on that thread! Am I the only one who finds this... well... I'm at a loss for words. Interestingly these negative voices _always_ find _some_ way to tie in Bre-x! It's amazing! This particular Saint btw crossed every line one could imagine some months ago, the posts are still up, 7 to 22 of them per day on his last attack. What's also amazing to me is these "white knights" are _never_ around to warn people when the stock's technicals are strong or a rally is going! Wouldn't that be the most critical time to give a sincere warning? The other saintly excuse that often comes up is worrying about people losing their homes, and investing 90% etc. For the extremely few who mortgages their house to invest up to 90% in a _high-risk_ spec stock like a Jr. miner, I wonder if it really matters if that stock is IPM, PacRim or Davison-Tisdale? <<would feel his/her duty to warn the credulous investor would be satisfied by following this route.>> Exactly! A simple once a week "remember, don't put all your eggs in one basket" would be ample warning to the above situation. The continued (20 to 50 posts a day from ECharters alone) message from these saviors seems to be: If you haven't, don't buy this! And if you have sell it all, asap! And, finally, okay if you won't sell it all, atleast lighten up!" While we are on the subject, you posted my answer to those rediculous attack posts that go: "If your stock is so good, why do you care about shorts and attack posts and misinformation? If your stock is so good it'll win in the end." As you've stated, the reverse is also quite true, if the thing is so bad, a few warnings and then it will fall of it's own weight. Why the frenzied, attack campaign? Why the _hours_ and _days_ spent on it if there's no vested interest? It is especially absurd on IPM, which after all has recieved plenty of negative press to "warn" people of risks. I've always wondered about this. Lew Green
