I don't think it is enough to raise premiums. For instance those people who have medical insurance as part of a retirement package should not be forced into medicare. The retirement should cover them til death. Office visits for medicare and other private insurances should have a minimum copay of $50.00 or higher. You don't see people going to the dentist for nonsense because it generally cost more even with insurance. That would prevent the hypochondriac patients as well as those who go for social visits because they are bored. Yes, there are many people who actually go to the doctor with some lame complaint just because they are lonely. They need to get a dog or something.

Too many people consider medical free after their co-pay and nothing will change that, so the raising of the co-pay will cut a fortune of expense.
