We've talked about this before. If you have a piece of dog shit on your porch, I suppose you could leave it there. I mean, what's the rush? Well, I think it smells. So I'd clean it up right away. But that's just me. I have pride of ownership of my home. I have pride in my country too. I want to continue to be a proud American and I want to hand over a shiny America to my kids. Therefore, I'd like to see abominations like Gitmo shut down asap, so that we can clean up our image and restore our moral standing in the world. Perception matters in the war of ideas.
