Thank you. I honestly believe that most people's policy positions aren't as neatly aligned with one party or another as they claim it to be. It's almost as if people are afraid to unalign from the two parties. I think that is a problem nowadays when both parties are so full of obvious flaws. That's why now more than ever, we all need to not be afraid to call out the bullshit wherever we see it, even if it is the party you grew up siding with. The key to healing what is wrong with this country is a heavy dose of introspection and the willingness to admit it when your party is on the wrong side of an issue. The other key is recognizing that the other party is not your enemy. It doesn't have to be a war of annihilation between these two parties. Instead, there has to be compromise, not this ridiculous no-holds barred warfare between the two parties.

If you look at these threads and see the polarization, it's no wonder the folks in Congress aren't getting anything done. Neither side is willing to admit when they are wrong or at the very least willing to compromise a bit to get to even an 80% solution. It's a pity.
