Stockman, Intel is not the end all. If they were the only CPU supplier in town, you would still be using a 386 based machine and you would have paid way too much for it. Competition is good. It breeds innovation. It drives prices down. Didn't you read your George Orwell. Big Brother Intel is watching you. If it were up to them you wouldn't have a choice. But then again, I think they've already brain washed you. I know you like wearing pocket t-shirts and overalls and driving your vw bus, but now you have a choice. With the money you save on your K6-based computer you can go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, man! AMD's goal in life is not to avenge Intel. It's to keep competition alive. It's to provide alternatives. To give choices. This isn't Communist China. You have a choice. We know what you're choice is but you're certainly not going to make those choices for me. I'd rather drive a BMW and wear $1,000 suits. You can waste your money on an Intel computer and keep your damn VW. Profits
