A person need a small flat when he is single. Marry. Live in it until produce offspring. Then move ou to something to grow the brat in.

Experiment (my daughter) was happy in my flat. She had alot of place and kids to socialize with.

She wanted a house, where she could have a lawn and a dog. I built it. Wife wanted that too and it was good to repatriated my USD. I started renting the flat.

Now she is 14 next week. Started High school today (Brazilian calendar and curriculum).

In 4 years she will be off to college. My wife can join me on my pole climbing adventures like before we had Experiment.
I have no use for the house and I can sell both and buy something else for me and wife.
(Although Experiment think the flat already belong to her.)

In fact I am the sole owner of it because bought when I was single, so neither wife nor daughter have a claim to it.

Now imagine if I would cling to the house untill I die. I see no point doing that.
