"it is a metaphor
for the market saying "i give up", at which
point, the market has no more interest in
flexing its muscle..."

i hope you still think it interesting after i
clarify something. my sentence structure could
have been clearer...i meant that this describes
the state of mind of the investor; it describes the
effective surrender to the "market as a whole" ...

the investor concedes defeat:
saying TO THE MARKET "i give up",
and you have won, bestowing upon the market
the gift of absolute power.

and, it is at that point when the struggles cease.
the spell is broken, the twig snaps...through
capitulation, we are released...
