Don't forget how cj and his buds were arguing how Europe's double digit unemployment was "better" than Bush's 5% unemployment.

Capitalism is bad...

"Obama promised that unemployment would never reach 10% if we passed his stimulus bill. Remember that?"

Sure. They were wrong. I even mentioned that I thought they were being optimistic.

So, tell me how allowing most of the auto industry to collapse would have not made unemployment worse?

"Nah, I bet you didn't. Mere facts don't concern you."

Says the guy who is usually factually challenged. Look, I understand why you want to shift the discussion to something else. But I won't let you do it. The fact of the matter is that if unemployment concerns you, someone reality-based would realize that letting the auto industry go under would have made things much, much worse. Only someone living in a fantasy land would believe that things would have been better.

But, that isn't it, is it? It would have been much better for the Republicans if the Democrats had sat on their hands while we toppled into a depression.

It is all about politics with you.
