"I live in a deep blue state. I'm not afraid to proclaim my conservative values, like many other people here."

Of course. You live in a more tolerant area.

Duh.

Well, forget about politcs then. People say they want the truth, but tell it to them and they will not vote for you if they do not like what you have to say.

The ugly truth is that liars do very well in politics (Palin, McCain, Bush and Nixon are perfct examples) because people allow themselves to be fooled. And many people are single issue voters e.g. pro life and pro choice.

So it is our fault. We say we want honesty in our politicans but we consistantly vote for the liars.

>>Koan, > I live in a deep red state. Get it??

I live in a deep blue state. I'm not afraid to proclaim my conservative values, like many other people here.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather not be fake to get ahead. Call me naive if you want. All you're doing is rationalizing.

Koan is explaining why I came to not trust Democrats and vote straight ticket Republican .... too many of them are koanheads with a radical agenda they'll promote to the extent they can and still keep office. You can't trust Democrats on national security, law enforcement and justice issues, education issues, ... you name it. Doesn't mean Republicans are necessarily great ... but there's way too many koans in the Democratic party.
