There is that. That has been a growing problem for a while. Regardless, it would have been much worse.

The unemployment rate will continue to drop, benefits are running out, people are not being counted anymore.

The U-6 number, which Shadowstats adds to, includes people with jobs as unemployed.

"The U-6 unemployment rate is the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) broadest unemployment measure, including short-term discouraged and other marginally-attached workers as well as those forced to work part-time because they cannot find full-time employment."
