don't know myself forsure but was under the impression you needed too open that account last year and even if you put no cash in there you could max it out too 10g's this year but if you just opened it you can only put in 5k,i'll call right now and see what TD says

yes they say you can put in 10k even if you open today

I transferred stock in last year, and this year. I took advantage of a price drop to transfer the stock. I also transferred some out of the money warrants. Great leverage as the nominal value applied to the warrants was close to nil. If they ever get in the money, it would be huge . If not, no big deal as it used up very little of the $5000 contribution.
