Its common knowledge the GOP Congress spent too freely ... like drunken sailors is how I remember conservatives describing it.

Actually the Democrats are being even worse at it ... and why shouldn't we complain about it?

if the GOP is serious about solving some problems, they need to stop filibustering everything and compromise.

Are you kidding? You want Republicans to agree to big budget busting things like a new health care program, trillion dollar "porkulus" programs ... after having blasted the Republicans for spending too much when they were in charge?
You're saying the GOP spent too freely, so now they need to join up with the Dems to spend even more freely.
