Bill, My brother in law brought this very subject to my attention this summer,,,british leaving laws and infrastructure behind them,(presented as a glorification to the british way),,I'm not that well travelled, but I have been to Colombia and Mexico,,in Cartagena,,the signs of pure unadulterated rape of a people are blatant,,,somewhat like the feelings I get when I see our own aboriginals,in Winnipeg or Toronto,,but it's more on a personal level here,,I can't speak for other places such as India,,where I am led to believe that the conquerors left the people with some of their souls and dignity still intact....Our aboriginals have been given one choice,,,live like us, and if that does'nt compute,,well heres a few bucks, go get yourselves some firewater....IMHO,,,I feel a twinge of shame,,but I have no answer,,but I think that I can sort of understand the feelings of hoplesness they must endure...We plunge "ahead" trampoling the earth, much in the same manner...and I'm not sure we've got it right at all,,,but we act like we do,,,but I believe it"s just an act.......at least the spanish etc...left the peoples their land,,,ther is a chance for them to come back,,,not much here though...whew,,russell
