Well Once upon a time, most social services were delivered by churches, today except for the Catholic church which enjoys special constitutional status most churches do not provide most of the social services. The Catholic church is of course well paid to provide work and protection for Catholics, at the expense of people of other religions. There is no reason to provide the churches with the right not to pay property taxes, or to provide income tax reciepts for donations.
