My daughter emailed me a series of similar pictures they took around their house. They live in Maryland.

After living in Juneau for eleven years, a little snow doesn't impress me much. They said if your doors get hard to open it means you should get up and shovel your roof. That never happened to me.

Juneau had a large contingent of guys with blades mounted on their pickups, and they kept busy clearing driveways. The city also had contracts with them to plow the streets, and I never once missed getting to work on time because of snow. They did send us home early a few times though.
