Because you were on the front lines last week, you witnessed first hand an extraordinary market event.

Perhaps he should have added: "What you witnessed was the meltdown of our systems. We are happy to report that as of last night we have finally finished executing the last of the trades you entered into our system last Monday. We are beginning to get around to your Tuesday trades as of this moment. Over the next few weeks we hope to offer confirmation on your trades actually on the day that you make them."

These guys work overtime at damage control, trying to avoid litigation. Perhaps if they spent more time putting impulse capacity ino their systems, they could lower their litigation liability by actually having happy customers.
