U.K.'s Internet Technology's Subscriber Base Exceeds 40,000 Glasgow, Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Internet Technology Group Plc said its Global Internet Ltd. unit's subscriber base has topped 40,000, representing annualized revenue of about 4 million pounds ($6.7 million). ITG, an Internet service provider, said it added 4,500 new subscribers in October, and had a total of 44,000 at the end of the month, including 5,000 business customers. ''Our original timetable for reaching this target was mid- March 1998,'' said ITG Chairman Jan Murray. ''To have achieved it five months ahead of time is a tremendous achievement.'' Yesterday, ITG shares rose 1 pence to 70 pence, and have risen from 51 pence since the beginning of the year. o~~~ O
