Did we see this:

Shares of Dell Computer Corp. and Compaq Computer
Corp. rose a wave of support Monday afternoon
following positive brokerage comments. Salomon Bros.
upgraded both stocks to "buy" from "hold" last week.
Salomon analyst Richard Gardner said he sees Compaq
trading at a premium to the Standard & Poor's 500
Index. As for Dell, he said he expects an increased
consumer mix, bringing higher Internet-based sales and
earnings in the next year.

Dell rose 3 1/8 to close at 83 1/4, while Compaq rose 3
1/8 to 67 1/8. On a separate note, Compaq cut its prices
by 8 to 16 percent on its Armada line of PC's. The cuts
included the 4160T, 4160T Slimline, 7730 MT and
7750MT models.

Ross Margolis of Solomon Bros. Capitol fund on CNBC said CPQ is a "momentum stock", where if it has a bad qtr or year, "look out below". -Not a 'proprietary mftr.' He says sell it. He added he didn't get it early enough (I think before the correction) Are things that cut and dried?
