Does she have the connections? Probably, more would not hurt. But - until 2008 few people outside Alaska heard her name. She is moving front stage fast. In a year or two she will have a far more massive following that she has today. Plenty of powerful people will be seeking her friendship.

Good point. The people the President surrounds himself is as important as the Pres himself.

Jesse Ventura talked a good libertarian talk for years but when he became governor he surrounded himself with the old democrat guard and so governed like a democrat.

Not comparing Palin to Ventura but the point is talk is cheap.
