Well I guess regulation of the government is regulation, but its of the type I find less likely to be objectionable, esp. when it limits the governments reach/interference, like tort reform can.

How about we call it "tort regulation" instead of "tort reform". Right now if you are injured due to incompetence, under federal law you get an award that a judge or jury feels is appropriate. Under the proposed "tort regulation", that would be limited by legislative fiat. That is by definition taking away an individuals freedom... it's new added regulation of tort law.

Not that I'm against it; I'm not. But Tim you have to call a spade a spade.
