oh yeah, that was just that.

To build the crescendo to the lighting of the torch and the jump to Gretzky being bounded in the face with rain in the back of a pick up truck...that was really odd.

Very John Candy...you nailed that.

Except John would have had a Molson in Gretzky's hand, and a pile of empty's around him in the truck bed.

It was a little surreal....particularly since Wayne Gretskey has a genuine fear of being in large crowds.

Still an amazing opening ceremony overall.
