So WellPoint is lying? Or maybe your 9.1 million is wrong?

Huh? Maybe you are getting your apples and oranges mixed up.

What exactly data item did Wellpoint offer and what are you doing with it? I read that they're raising rates by 38% and attributing it in large part to healthier people dropping their coverage. Is that the number you are using? If so, what makes you think that you can derive from a percentage raise in their premium rates the percentage effect of adding the currently uninsured to the national pool? They're two different ideas entirely. It would be like estimating the increase in the federal budget from the percentage chance of snow forecast.

The 9.1 million comes from the US census. It's a solid number. Find the flaw in my logic in applying it to guestimate the benefit of adding those people to the pool if you can.
