YTK Makes the Comics Page!

Boston Globe "Dilbert" comic today makes (very funny) joke about the need for COBOL Programmers to fix the "mainframe millennium problem"

Boss to Dilbert: We need COBOL Programmers for our mainframe millennium problem ... If you see anyone who looks like a COBOL programmer, let me know.

Dilbert: Turn Around

Boss (turning around and seeing the dinosaur): Are you a COBOL programmer?

Dinosaur: N0, but I'm often told I look like one

Boss: You're hired

LOL ... every day one step closer.

Techy, et al., Sen. Bennett of Utah announced today his intention to introduce legislation that would require all publicly traded companies to fully disclose information regarding their efforts on Y2K compliance. Info required, among other things: disclosure of specific progress by division, department, or other appropriate business unit; disclosure of likely litigation costs and liability outlays associated with the defense of lawsuits against the corp. or its directors and officers; a detailed discussion of existing insurance coverage to cover specific Y2K computer failures; and disclosure of contingency plans for computer systems failure, by division, department, etc.

Hooooooo doggy!
