Koan : This is a very complex topic with so many variables nuances ect . You observation though does have merit . It would take a small book to go into all the details as they appear to me . In the past with out education there was no way for advancement as we in the west experience it . There was no economic system or growing economy . So one could not start a business or buy shares . Some Chinese move to the west so their children can be educated here and obtain jobs with out the class or family connections which block advancement on merit which is common in China . May be an Asian will shed more light on this for you . jack
