I wonder if any football team would fly on SouthWest (off course minus their gear which itself would take up the entire plane).

Couldn't happen; I'm sure even most college teams fly charters since they are taking close to 100 people counting coaches and training staff, and a large proportion of those people are 250 pounds and up (often to 330-340 in the pros).

I flew to London once on a plane that was usually the Dallas Mavericks charter, all business class with card tables in the configuration. It was like riding in a comfy motorhome.
