We are more than a decade down that road already, as growth
in G7 countries was sluggish compared to BRIC. China was pretty
explosive. We had Japanese miracle in the 80-s that turned into
the Japanese disaster. Estonia already has per capita GDP that is
only a half of that in Western Europe, but India/China have ways
to grow before their standard of living becomes on par with
that in the rest of the World. Generally speaking, the standard
of living in G7 does not have to drop for theirs to rise, it
can just grow much slower. However, G7 and the globe are dealing with the
consequences of credit bubble, which is now the main issue.
And, that credit bubble was pretty bad, with derivatives on top.
For now, India/China remain the main engine of Global growth -ng-
