And the world inteleltual community agrees with me, although I do not always agree with them-lol. I have a pretty extensive backgound in psychology and social theory. First, the very idea Rand thought she understood the human mind is such a breathtaking claim. We know next to nothing about the human mind. Secondly, her hypocrisy. She talked about individual freedom, but ran a cult in which her cult members needed her permission to marry. She took a married young boy for a lover and got both her husband the the boys wife to agree to it. And any idea that "greed is good" is stone cold nuts and deny's our freedom to be kind, selfless and altruistic based on only our philosophy of comapssion. We can will ourselves to be kind. I once risked my life to save a drowing man in the ocean (Watsonville, Calif)I did not know. Either I saved him or he drowned. Real straightforward decision. Big storm and he got caught in a rip tide. I figured in hindsight 1 out fo 3 times I would have drowned. The entire academic world recognizes Chomsky's work in linguistics to be the best ever. He teachs at MIT and is recognizd by the worlds intelligencia as one of the top geniuses of our time. Now if you want to debate the top intellectuals in the world, I would tell you that is usually a fools errand. The world intellectual community does not think highly of Rand. Or Palin-lol.
