Hi Chuck,

You aren't the only one wondering about the melt in high-latitudes and methane. The last three years have seen a significant rise in global methane concentration, some scientists in my field are speculating this is the cause. Jury is still out at this point.

We'll see about the arctic sea ice. It has been a warm year due to el nino.
