Who is going to be the first to officially enter a Lost Decade? Greece is the proposed candidate. We faced a big financial crisis once a decade. We know how to deal with them. Other countries are clueless on dealing with big financial crisis. Now they need a field trial. Greece is the proposed chicken to be fleeced so that is: used as an example to make recalcitrant voters tow the line and for bankers to learn how to deal with their own crisis using the lessons learned by the chosen chicken, i.e., Greece.
