Lake Erie has frozen over for the first time in 14 years, according to AccuWeather.
It's good news if you happen to live in Buffalo or southern Ontario.

<<< Lake Erie, with an average depth of 62 feet, is the most shallow of the five Great Lakes, which is why it is the only one that completely freezes over. Since lake-effect snow depends on warmer lake temperatures compared to the air, the frozen lake will deter large amounts of snowfall to the lee of the lake. >>>

What does this mean for Global Warming? Probably nothing, but I'm sure someone will claim that it's a sign Global Warming has gotten out of control. Someone else has probably already claimed (this person, for example) that Lake Erie's failure to freeze over in the last 14 years is another sign Global Warming has gotten out of control.
