why don't we fix the problem?
The concept of "living wage" is ridiculous as typically presented.

1) The first problem is that it's not how much one makes, but how far the dollar goes. The dollar does not go far far because of inflation, rampant government spending, bad policies, etc etc.

2) The second problem is people think "living wage" means an SUV every 4 years, a huge home, eating out, eating poorly, guaranteed this, and guaranteed that.

The problem is folks want stuff.. everyone wants stuff.. the more stuff the better.. so easy credit and cheap imports gave lots of folks lots of stuff they wanted and thought they needed.. Now of course stuff on ever expanding credit and hopefully ever rising assets is unsustainable.. and the unforeseen stuff like outsourcing jobs off continent.. So lots of stuff loses value and then folks can't manage their credit and can't buy the other stuff they think they need.. If everyone gets a living wage.. we will all be living but that leaves the issue of how to afford all the stuff we think we need..

Probably the entire system needs to get stuffed and then we can start over with less stuff.. and maybe find stuffless happiness.. :O)
